Roger B. Tyler
Vice President, Director of Property Management, CPM
Roger Tyler is Vice President and Director of Property Management for Neville. As such, he directs the training of our property and facilities managers, and coordinates the management operations to assure the loads of tasks, such as rebids of vendor contracts, rent collection calls, and vacant winter heat checks, are on everyone’s calendars and accomplished.
Roger has been actively managing commercial and investment properties in and around the Boston area since the mid-1980’s. Roger and John Wilking, Neville’s President, started working together in 1986 at The Copley Group, and subsequently at Niles. In 2004 Neville expanded into eastern Massachusetts and Roger came on to run the Boston area office.
Roger is a hands-on property and facilities manager, and has always preferred being in the field to his office. Roger is typically found with a phone to his ear while poking around a roof, or talking heat exchangers and economizers with HVAC techs, or making sure tenants are happy and healthy.
Roger holds the exclusive Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management, an arm of the National Association of Realtors. Roger also has his sales license in the State of New Hampshire.
Roger has been an active investor in real estate since the late 80’s, starting with multi-family properties and an office building in the Salem area. Roger is a managing partner in the VT office building housing Neville, as well as 3 other Class A structures in VT and NH.
Roger is a 1984 graduate of Boston University, and started his work life apprenticing for an electrician. Roger is married, has two grown children, and lives in Essex, MA.
Call the cell … Roger is on a roof somewhere.
